Windows XP training

Windows is installed on millions of computers worldwide, and is included with many new computers sold today. Microsoft Windows comes in several versions, many of which are still installed and operating in homes and offices everywhere.

Windows is a group of graphical operating environment operating systems for IBM PC or compatible computers introduced by Microsoft in 1983. The point-and-click GUI (Graphical User Interface) developed by Windows utilizes pull-down menus and icons to allow users to easily open programs and organize files. Windows simplified DOS commands and tasks by converting programs and commands to icons that were "clicked" (selected with a mouse or other pointing device) to initiate. Windows also introduced the multi-tasking feature to the IBM-based computer. Windows 3.1 and 3.11 were simply shells that ran on top of MS-DOS, while later versions of Windows (95, 98, NT4 2000, XP, 2003 and beyond) are self-contained operating systems commonly known simply as Windows.
